Please don't mind the pics ooh!!! ( I wish)..... I really need some sorta chill mode. This week has been somewhat crazy ( overloaded with activities and stuff). Right now my eyes are in what I call "half-mast mode" like one drowsy from a drug. Just finished calligraphy on some certificates, need to round up a portrait or 2....a school where I teach art is having their end of year gig later on today. Can't wait for the Christmas holiday, so I can have time to rest ( I wish again).....more of the vacation period that I should use for resting will be spent on "studio time" churning out new artworks for your viewing pleasure and possible purchase :) ......Let me run now(yawns), before I have to use toothpicks to hold my eyes open like Tom in one of the Tom & Jerry episodes. Till later, Cheers all.... Peace!!!

Friends
This is to address with simplicity a force of great peculiarity. The force of friendship.
A dedication to friends, both near and far. To the ones who feign care, but in reality scar
A true friend can be an advisory, appear to be an adversory, and yet stick with you through adversity.
To friendships genuine with values pristine, reminiscing every encounter, for there is something to glean
Before one gets aboard this "friend-ship" to embark on the voyage, parties concerned should be of a like-mind, ignoring some wrongs and sometimes appearing blind
So they can steer free of any malicious bind, trying to pollute their intellect relegating them to the hind
Being a friend you should have a fine blend of love, sacrifice, patience and understanding
Having at least these last 4 qualities, you should soar above relational obstacles.

Sunday Funday
It was a lovely time at church today. Prof Durojaiye Adegboye rekindled the fire of the mandate of every believer to proclaim the gospel of Christ.
In this life we can enjoy the luxuries, entertainment and all but these shouldn't allow us lose sight of our evangelism package/assignment (witness, heal the sick and cast out demons).
Folks(believers), be encouraged to share Gods love to friends, family and others to guaranty a blissful eternity
Just thought to share *wink*

On Murals and Wall Art
Hello there. It's me again. Trust your Saturday was most pleasant and relaxing. As we're constantly on the mission to create an awareness for art which will help encourage an appreciation of art forms, aesthetics and most probably could lead to patronage of art. It just has to do with one major ingredient....Consistency!
I would like to talk a little bit on an art type which is gradually gaining "audience" in different sectors: Institutions, firms, places of worship, hospitals, etc. And that is Wall art (big grin).
The art of making engravings, inscriptions, patterns and even paintings on walls is not new to man. It was even practised as far back as the Dark ages where cave men drew animals on walls for various purposes during the lower and upper paleolithic, mesolithic and neolithic eras.
Murals or wall art is really a nice option for outdoor aesthetics. Also for some indoor settings. Because there are some people who would like to have colourful art-forms adorn their wall spaces without necessarily hanging up framed pictures or canvases.
Here are some pictures from Springfield Schools located at number 30 Harold Wilson Drive in Port Harcourt where we are engaged in a fence design project. It involves the painting of some cartoon characters on the wall. Feel free to holla for your school design too, or any other interior and exterior design. Cheers

Independent Season: Still On the Quest for Freedom
Hello all. This may be coming late but I know the question/statement still runs through our minds. Yes Nigeria is 53, we thank God for that.....but is she really free?( that's left for you to answer). Yearly, on the first of October we are encouraged to remember the year 1960 when Nigeria became "free" . We say we are a free nation but as the saying goes, "action speaks louder than words"....the reality in most spheres portrays a contrary picture.
Majority would want to say that our leaders are the "taskmasters" that slave the populace subtly. But before we start to play the blame game, we all should look inward. A state of Independence most likely begins with an independent mind. Many milestones , achievements and significant happenings that occurred in history began with an idea, a mind-set, a thought pattern.
Although we are still on the journey to that great and beautiful Nigeria, we should see how we can be instruments of change encouraging and effecting freedom in its diverse forms (expression, beliefs, fashion, cuisine etc). We should endeavour to have an independent mentality in the sense that we should pioneer actions that will better ourselves and society without having to wait on some Higher authorities to come and "help". Instead of sitting, whining , nagging and complaining; Arise!!! Be the change you seek, be the catalyst for a freer nation.
With all that said, here's a recent painting by Emeka Ifediora titled "Free Your Mind". It was displayed at the Society of Nigerian Artists Artburst 2013 exhibition in Port Harcourt recently.
